The financial partners and sponsors of AIF
Since its creation in 1997, and for a period of five years, part of the Foundation’s funding have been provided through a financial agreement with Audi Bank (Lebanon). With unrestricted funds from Audi Bank and individual contributions from the Committee of Funders of the AIF (constituted in 2000), AIF has been able to cover part of its operating costs. All other costs have been covered by grants and income from projects.
The Foundation’s programs are mainly funded by the Ford Foundation.
The Hachem el Madani collection is managed by the AIF with the support of the Prince Claus Fund.
AIF projects and part of the past programs expenses were covered by grants provided by the European Commission, the Al-Qattan Charitable Trust (England), the Prince Claus Fund (Netherlands), the Getty Grant Program (US) and the Ousseimi Foundation (Switzerland).

An Annual Fund to support the Foundation
Since 2000, the Arab Image Foundation has constituted an Annual Fund
supported by the Committee of Funders. This committee is composed of individuals who believe in the mission of the FAI and understand the necessity of preserving and making accessible the Arab photographic heritage for the present and future generations.
The Annual Fund allows the FAI to cover operating and development expenses rarely funded by grants from institutions and foundations.
Donations to the Annual Funds help secure the FAI continuity and contribute to attain its future financial independence.
